- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
Equipment

- Small mixing bowl
- Microwave-safe bowl

Instructions
Prepare the Salmon
- Cut the salmon into approximately 1 1/4-inch-wide portions.
- Using a sharp knife, lightly score the top of each salmon portion in a shallow crosshatch pattern about 1/8 inch deep. Do not cut through the salmon.
- In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic salt, white pepper and cayenne pepper until evenly combined.
- Pat the salmon dry thoroughly with paper towels.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon portions, gently pressing it into the scored surface.
Air Fry
- Preheat the air fryer to 330°F (166°C), if your air fryer requires preheating.
- Arrange the salmon portions in the air fryer basket in a single layer with space between them.
- Air fry for approximately 20 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Make the Jalapeño Butter
- While the salmon cooks, place the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave just until melted.
- Remove the seeds from the jalapeño, finely dice it and stir it into the melted butter.
Serve
- Transfer the cooked salmon to serving plates.
- Spoon the warm jalapeño butter over the salmon and serve immediately.
