Spicy Paleo Chicken Skillet

A delicious, protein-packed spicy Paleo chicken skillet (or air fryer) recipe with a spicy kick and a creamy, dairy-free dip.

Ingredients

Spicy Chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for more heat)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1/2 lime

Healthy Dip (Dairy-Free)

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1–2 tbsp water (to thin)
  • Sea salt & black pepper to taste
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Air fryer
  • Blender or food processor
  • Mixing bowl

Instructions

Spicy Chicken – Skillet

  1. In a bowl, toss chicken with avocado oil, spices, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6–7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.

Spicy Chicken – Air Fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss chicken with oil, spices, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until cooked and slightly crispy.

Healthy Dip (Dairy-Free)

  1. Add all dip ingredients to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Serve chicken hot with dip on the side.
